We were totally disgusted. The entrance looked rather nice when we arrived, but there was no heating anywhere in the building. Muhammed didn’t show us to our room, so we had to find it ourselves. We expected a double bed, but found two single beds pushed together, and if you’re a big person, you wouldn’t fit on them. The heater only stayed on for 10 minutes, so we had to buy a fan heater for going back. The room door didn’t lock, and we had to put two chairs behind it so nobody could come in. The hot tub was clatty, the black towels were rock hard, and the carpets hadn’t been hoovered. The bathroom floor was sticky and the blinds were broken. It was the worst hotel we’ve ever been in. What you see on the website isn’t what you get. What did we expect for £58? If you’re wise, avoid this hotel at all costs.

Our hotel was cancelled, so we booked this at the last minute. The man at reception was fantastic and went out of his way to help. The place is dated, and sadly our room had been trashed the night before and had a few issues. It’s Blackpool after all.

My stay turned out pleasant, and I’m glad I gave Harlands Hotel a chance. Before booking, I was a bit skeptical after seeing several negative reviews about dirty rooms and doors that were broken or wouldn’t lock. My own room was clean and tidy, and everything worked properly. The shower was fine too. It took a little while to warm up, but once it did, it was great. My experience was definitely better than those reviews suggested.

The beach was the only part that made the holiday somewhat pleasant. The room walls were paper thin, so you could hear anything from next door. The kitchen smelled SO bad, and the presentation was appalling. Everything was expired, dirty and attracting flies.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We booked it for one night while dropping our son back home and thought we’d make a little pit stop. When I opened the front door, a disgusting smell hit me straight away. The reception area was filthy and unmanned. We didn’t even check in. We went back to the car and booked another hotel. I don’t know how this can be described as a hotel. Stay well clear.
