The staff were friendly and the room was clean and spacious, which made the one-night stay decent despite several problems. The hotel feels old, though it seems well maintained. Room 17 had comfortable sheets, but the floor creaked and the shower was tiny and uncomfortable. It was hard to keep the curtain in place, so water got all over the floor. The curtains weren't blackout either, and sunrise filled the room with light. There was no lift, so guests on higher floors should expect to carry luggage up narrow flights of stairs. We had no hot water until we complained; apparently the boiler had been turned off on purpose. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room. It has some old-fashioned charm, but you have to be ready for those quirks.

I was here for a short while during renovations to my flat. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. The only snag was that I couldn't get the free WiFi to connect. Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay, and the price was very reasonable for a budget hotel. I'd stay again if I needed to.

Good location, with friendly, helpful staff. It's a budget hotel, so don't expect too much. There's an en-suite with a hot shower and toilet. The WiFi wasn't working while I was there, but that didn't bother me.

The staff were very friendly, and the room was as clean as it could be, but it had a damp smell. I stayed one night in single Room 6, and it really wasn't great. The rooms are dated and need urgent repairs. The radiator didn't work, and the old bathroom had a toilet seat with its brackets missing. I'm not sure whether the place has had new owners recently. We didn't see the bar open.
