OYO Alumhurst Hotel

The locals I spoke to had heard bad things about the Alumhurst Hotel and said they'd seen its awful conditions. They were homeless and told me they'd rather sleep on the streets than in there. That says enough. The hotel is damp, filthy and a health and safety hazard. I feel they rip you off and then refuse refunds. Avoid the Alumhurst Hotel Blackpool. It shouldn't be operating and needs to close.

It didn't feel safe, and I wouldn't stay here again. The place looked nothing like the photos, and the glass in the main door was boarded up. The toilet wouldn't flush, its handle was coming loose, and the windows wouldn't shut, so we had to put up with the noise. If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't waste your money.

Possibly the worst accommodation I've stayed in in Blackpool. There's simply nothing positive about it. Stay away!

After reading the bad reviews online, I expected the worst, but it turned out to be good value for money. The room was clean and tidy, with towels and toiletries. It was cold when we arrived, but they switched the heater on as they showed us the room, and it was warm when we got back from going out. Parking was full when we arrived at 9:30 pm, though we were late getting there. The fire alarm went off in the early hours. The toilet wouldn't flush, but we weren't really in the room much and only noticed when we used it before checking out.
