We brought our dog and it wasn’t a problem at all. There’s a spacious bar with plenty of seats and a good choice of drinks. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, and we had a lovely traditional dinner and a great breakfast. It was a brilliant night in the heart of Blackpool. I’d stay here again.

Booking.com presents this place as pet friendly, but when I phoned directly to check, I was told pets aren’t allowed at weekends. That’s seriously misleading and needs sorting out, or they shouldn’t take people’s money through Booking.Com.

The location was good, and the rooms were clean, though they could use an update. The restaurant, the food and most of the staff were great. I’d stay again.

We were in town for an event at The Winter Gardens, which is very close by, and arrived without a reservation. They kindly showed us a bright room with comfortable furnishings first, so we decided to stay. The reception team were brilliant, and the lady who helped us was friendly, polite and professional. Our room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The hotel was to a high standard, and staff in housekeeping, reception, the dining room and bar all went out of their way to make us happy. Breakfast was excellent too. Thanks to everyone for making our weekend break so lovely. We’ll definitely return, hopefully next year if not sooner.

After the first night of our recent stay, we found the room was full of bed bugs. Staff said they weren’t bed bugs, but my doctor confirmed that they were. We asked for another room and weren’t given one. I’ll be taking this further.
