Gary was lovely, friendly and very accommodating. I didn’t meet Jo. I was in Blackpool visiting family and stayed at The Mercury hotel, just off the main promenade. My 60's themed room was lovely, with a double bed, built-in TV, separate sitting area and couch, plus a record player and vinyl records. Everything was spotless, and there were thoughtful extras like a cosy dressing gown and slippers in the wardrobe. Breakfast was lovely too, with the best poached eggs I’ve had in a good while. I’d definitely stay again 😊

The rooms at the Mercury Hotel were spotless, the beds and pillows comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. We even had our own record player with albums to suit different tastes. Gary and Jo were friendly hosts and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do and see while visiting Blackpool. The complimentary breakfast had so many choices that we both had a mix of hot and cold food on each of the two mornings. We loved our long weekend and will definitely return. 👍

The decor in our room was full of British rock and punk memorabilia, and it was super clean. We came to Blackpool for New York for Rebellion Fest, and Gary greeted us at the door so warmly that we felt welcome right away. Gary and Jo are one of a kind hosts. His breakfast was better than anything we ate around town, and when it was time to leave, he insisted on taking us to the train station. If we go back, we’ll definitely stay there again.

Jo made us very welcome, with her faithful sidekick George, a Rhodesian ridgeback, keeping us company and playing around. Breakfast was hot, delicious and excellent, and Jo was loyally supported by George throughout. The Mercury lived up to its regal connections, with photos and memorabilia everywhere. In Freddie’s “prescence” there’s even a record player and Queen vinyl to play and listen to. We were there overnight for a theatre trip, and as a big Queen fan I had to book the Mercury and the “Freddie” suite. Gary was away on business, but texted to let us know he’d be absent and that the room would be ready by lunchtime, which I thought was very professional. Nothing was too much trouble for Jo. I can’t recommend the Mercury enough, and it doesn’t disappoint. We’re already planning to return and can’t wait. Thanks for a great experience, Jo. Keep on rocking! Jon and Elaine (Chester)

Jo & Gary are amazing and go above and beyond for you. This quirky B&B was spotless and fresh, with lovely rooms, really comfy beds and a stunning breakfast with generous portions. I’d definitely recommend staying here. We’ll return next year and make it an annual thing, ha.
