Breakfast was just right for the two of us, and there’s a lovely terraced garden behind the room with great views. We stayed one night for our anniversary trip to Cardigan, in the side room with its little terrace garden and very spacious en-suite. The B&B in Abercych has just one guest room, which made the stay feel personal, and dogs are welcome. Before arriving, we’d spent the day at Poppit Sands Beach. We walked a few minutes to the Nags Head for a meal, sitting outside by the river with the dogs. The next morning we planned to visit Ffynone Waterfall and enjoy some local walks with them. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Cam and her husband were so welcoming that they felt like friends, and breakfast was outstanding. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The B&B is beautifully done and completely self-contained, with the fabulous Nags Head Pub within walking distance. It was such a calm, charming place to stay. What a find! I’d love an excuse to come back, and would definitely recommend it.

The surrounding area was lovely, but the place itself was a letdown. I’d been looking forward to staying here, then found the rooms dirty and the bed uncomfortable during my one-night stay. I also had no idea about, or interest in, Welsh culture.

Camille was a very pleasant, welcoming host, and the room felt just like home. The cottage is in a lovely village, away from anywhere, and the Nags Head pub is close enough to walk to for an evening meal. I’d expected a hotel, so finding this beautiful cottage was a great surprise. There was cold water and milk in the fridge, plus tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious: fruit salad and yoghurt, fresh coffee, toast with butter and marmalade. It was all homemade, none of the prepared stuff you get from big hotel chains. Credit to my host for welcoming me into her home.

The B&B was even nicer than the photos, and that woollen blanket was divine. Cam is incredibly sweet. The room was warm enough even for me, and my dog was welcome too, with treats! And the breakfast was so good, I can’t even describe it. 10/10.
