The room and facilities were lovely, and the hosts made us feel really welcome and were happy to help. We stayed one night while travelling around Wales, and it was great value. I'd definitely book again if I'm back in the area.

The rooms were clean, but one had a window that wouldn't open, so it got unbearably hot. There was no breakfast, and the communal kitchen had no hot water.

Breakfast was a real highlight, and our room was very clean. The owners were incredibly nice and knew loads about the area. We had a great stay in late April and early May 2024, and I'd happily return if I'm nearby. Thanks for making it such a pleasant visit.

There wasn't much to see nearby, and the local pubs weren't up to much either. My room also had no opening windows, which felt a little claustrophobic to me. It was well equipped, with everything thought of, and parking right outside was handy. We stopped for an evening during a motorbike trip around Wales. Breakfast wasn't available during our stay, so check before booking.

The hosts made us feel like friends, with warm, attentive hospitality that was probably the most memorable part of our visit. Castle Lodge Bed & Breakfast is in Sennybridge, Brecon, and the Brecon Beacons National Park nearby gave us plenty to do. We hiked scenic trails, visited charming villages, and enjoyed the views. We also really liked the communal lounge, a cosy place to relax and chat with other guests by the fire. The locally sourced breakfast was another highlight, with a tasty mix of traditional and contemporary dishes. Our room had elegant furnishings, a four-poster bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The lodge mixes historic charm with modern comforts, and the little details made the room feel indulgent. It's a characterful place to stay, whether you're after a romantic break, a family adventure or some time away on your own.
