We’ve been coming to Greyfield Farm every year for 16 years, and the owners’ kindness and care still impress us. The cottages are spacious, really clean and well equipped, with so many activities around that there’s never a dull moment. Already looking forward to coming back!

Everything you need for a week’s stay is in these lovely cottages, and there’s a SPA convenience store just three minutes away.

The owners are lovely, and there’s plenty to see nearby. The cottages are comfortable, with a mini gym, hot tub and sauna onsite, plus a room where you can borrow DVDs, music, books and games. Free WiFi, pleasant surroundings and plenty of parking too. One thing to bear in mind: the roads around the cottages are very narrow. If you’re not a confident driver, you may have to reverse up a tight road to let a tractor through.

Staying at Mendip Magic was a treat, especially having goats, chickens, ducks and one goose just across the fence from the patio. June welcomed us, showed us around and was a great hostess. The accommodation and included facilities were lovely. We’ll book again, but next time we’ll ignore the sat nav’s interesting route and come through High Littleton instead.

The conservatory dining room looks out over the countryside, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. There’s also a barbecue and a Goldilocks play house; the goats, hens and ducks are part of the farm too. We rented the cottage while visiting family in nearby Midsomer Norton. It’s a converted farm building, like the others, and the friendly hostess brought fresh milk when we arrived. The lounge was large and comfortable, with a TV, DVD and X box, plus free WiFi and Alex's. Central heating and a log burner make it suitable any time of year. Our double room had an en suite shower and toilet, and the twin room had comfortable beds. The kitchen had the essentials, including a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s another bathroom with an over-bath shower, plenty of hot water, and linen and towels were provided. The gym and sauna were closed for covid reasons at the time. It’s an ideal family holiday let close to the Mendips.
