We really didn’t want to leave after our wonderful one-night stay. The hosts were lovely, and so is Bertie the dog. Breakfast was lovely too. Our garden room was spacious and comfortable, with garden access and a river view. The bed gave us the best night’s sleep of our 12-day holiday. Many thanks for a fantastic stay.

Storm Amy knocked out the power at midnight, but Valerie still cooked us a hot, amazing breakfast using their camping gear. Valerie and Bryan were wonderful hosts, and we felt very welcome and safe. The room was cosy and nicely decorated. We’ll try to come back without the storm and flooding. Thank you for making us feel safe.

Riverside house was probably our favourite B&B from our Scotland trip. Brian and Valerie were great hosts, recommending a good place for dinner and even writing us a lovely anniversary card. The whole place felt clean and homely, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We couldn’t stay long, but the garden looked like a fun place to spend time. Other guests said the resident dogs were very sweet. Breakfast was very good and made to order, which was a nice touch.

There are only four rooms, so it’s a lovely, quiet place, and Bertie the bearded Collie was the star of the show. Check-in was smooth, and someone showed us straight to our room and explained everything, including breakfast in the dining room and the garden with its river views. We stayed for two nights. Breakfast was top notch, with a full cooked Scottish breakfast and amazing haggis, plus cereals, fruit, croissants, jams and marmalades, homemade banana loaf, and various cheeses. Bryan and Valerie were so welcoming that by the end I felt like they were old friends. We thoroughly recommend this little find in beautiful Callandar and will definitely come back. Thanks for having us!

The owners were cheerful and helpful, the rooms lovely and clean, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. We couldn’t be happier with our stay, and highly recommend this place for an overnight stay. Well done.
