Novotel Cambridge North

The duck was my favourite dish, 10/10. Andy looked after me so well, from my first drink at the bar through dinner in the restaurant. He’s funny, super hospitable, and just made for this. The food was really good, and all the staff are ever so lovely. My room was modern and had Chromecast, which is amazing. The Cambridge North Train station is right next to the hotel, really handy. I recommend downloading the ALL Accor app and becoming a member. I earned enough points for silver status, which comes with a free drink on arrival, free late check out, among other things. As long as I’m in Cambridge, I’ll stay here.

Anna on reception made our stay extra special. She was welcoming, friendly and professional from the moment we arrived, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and looked after. She answered our questions with warmth and a smile, and quickly put us at ease. She’s a real credit to the hotel. Novotel Cambridge was clean and comfortable, and perfectly located. We had a lovely stay and couldn’t fault the experience. Thanks, Anna. We’d absolutely return and highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area 🤍

Saturday evening was much better. The food was nice, and the staff seemed more confident and on top of things. The room itself was tidy and modern, though that bathroom door really needs replacing. It’s transparent from both sides and doesn’t feel like a proper door. We stayed Friday to Monday. On arrival night, dinner took an hour, and our drinks only turned up after we’d finished eating. The restaurant staff seemed poorly trained and didn’t pay attention to customers. We also asked for toiletries and cleaning, but neither happened, so I had to find toiletries and clean the cups myself. The bathroom fan didn’t work, leaving shower water running across the whole bathroom. The jacuzzi was under maintenance that weekend, so we couldn’t use it.

We’d had such a nice breakfast here a few days earlier that we chose the hotel for my birthday dinner too. The salmon was delicious, and Luis, Cameron, and Andy were friendly and professional with us. They made the evening feel special. Thanks, we’ll come back and would recommend it.
