Dalrachney Lodge Hotel

Dalrachney Lodge gave us the quiet stay we wanted in Scotland, without tour buses turning up daily. The beautiful location is rich in history and worked well for distillery visits and Highland adventures. Our spacious room was incredibly comfortable, and the whisky bar was probably my husband's highlight. Steve and Tracy had a good feel for when to chat and share insights, and when to let us do our own thing. Steve's fresh, delicious daily breakfast was great too. We highly recommend the lodge.

The breakfast was just perfect, with an amazing view from the breakfast room. I need a gluten free diet, and Steve had put gluten free biscuits in our room. There were tea and coffee making facilities, a big bottle of water, and a big bathroom. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, with an amazing view from the windows. Everything was perfectly clean and very stylishly decorated. Steve was always there, helpful, friendly, and cheerful. In the evening we sat in the lounge enjoying the view and drinking wine we'd brought, and Steve gave us wine glasses. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Scotland. We'll be back, though we're not sure when, but there's no doubt.

We booked two nights, though our tour planner had suggested just one, and now wish we'd added a third. The lodge is beautiful and extremely well kept, and Steve and Tracy are amazing. There's plenty of hiking and biking around, plus a quaint village. Plan on spending a few days here.

We were there for two days and were overwhelmed by Dalrachney Lodge, one of the most beautiful places on our trip around Scotland. It's an old, very beautiful building, kept in great condition and furnished with real taste. The rooms are lovely, especially the bathrooms. Tracy and Steve are warm, helpful, very nice hosts who are easy to talk with. Breakfast is wonderful, and you can have a great time here.
