We spent a night at The Pheasant Inn in a comfortable, well-equipped room. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, with a good range of breakfast choices, and the staff were very helpful. Traffic delayed us on the way, but the chef was willing to keep the kitchen open for us. I’d highly recommend it.

My daughter brought me here for a birthday meal, and those sitting outside despite the cool weather had a lovely view. Inside, there was a big open fire and a really cosy feel. It was busy, but the service was very good. I had the steak and ale pie, which was delicious, then just managed to fit in the passion fruit cheesecake. Definitely coming back.

We went today with my wife and two friends and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent throughout, full of flavour and cooked with care, while the friendly service was attentive and well paced. The pub had a warm, welcoming feel from the moment we arrived, with a roaring open fire adding to the comfort. It’s a cosy, relaxed place where you want to linger. We’ll absolutely return and would recommend it without hesitation.

The location is very good, and the views are great. Service was average, though, and we had to wait for our drinks. They wouldn’t adapt the dessert menu when I asked for sticky toffee pudding with custard, despite custard being available with other desserts. For a restaurant that claims five stars, I’d expect more attention to the customer experience.

A lovely pub in a beautiful spot with stunning views. It’s remote, which made it a peaceful escape after busy days walking around Shrewsbury, Chester and Liverpool. The rooms are stylish and have everything you need, the staff are very friendly, and breakfast is generous. I’d highly recommend it.
