The Jolly Huntsman

The rooms could use a spruce-up and feel a little tired, but they were spotless and had everything you'd expect. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar was a nice spot for a drink or two. Breakfast was spot on, both the food and the service. It's a cab ride to the town centre, which didn't bother us. Good value for money, and I'd stay again.

The room was quite cold in the evening and again in the morning because the heating hadn't been switched on yet. Apart from that, I found the room comfortable, with a good bed, plenty of pillows, an en suite bathroom, towels, toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. There's a handy car park, and the rooms are in a separate building from the pub. I needed somewhere for one night on a business trip to Corsham and found this inn in Chippenham. It's in the village with little nearby. Breakfast was hearty, with cereal, fruit, tea, coffee, juice and a choice of hot dishes, including omelettes, a full English and salmon.

The hosts were a lovely, friendly couple and gave me a warm welcome. I appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities, and the shower was great. I did find it a bit annoying that there wasn't a mirror near the dressing table. I hope the business starts thriving again soon.

The room was clean, spacious and well equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The beer on tap was good too. Customer relations could use a little more thought, like asking whether someone needs help with their luggage. The kitchen staff could use catering college training.
