Cedar House Boutique B&B

The pool and hot tub were a bonus, and there’s a shared fridge in the same area. I didn’t use the sauna. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, though some parts felt a bit worn and could use TLC. It would’ve been nice to have cushions on the balcony chairs. I’m not keen on having to pre-order breakfast, but it was tasty and there was plenty to eat. We’d have preferred the room to be tidied without being asked, though that’s just our preference.

Cedar House is well placed for exploring the New Forest, and the beach is just a five-minute drive away. The gardens are beautiful, and there’s a pool and jacuzzi for relaxing. Our room was bright and clean, with a private terrace and a lovely garden view. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order, and had lots of choice, including vegan options. We had a wonderful stay, would happily recommend it, and hope to return.

There’s plenty to explore nearby, from beaches and the New Forest to Christchurch. We drove to the Quay, looked around the historic town, and hired a boat for a trip along the river. My son loved being captain! The house is quirky, and our spacious Papillon room had a balcony over the gardens, pool, and hot tub. We had an evening dip, and both the pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing. Breakfast was filling and tasty, cooked just how we wanted it. Thank you! We’d recommend staying here and will definitely visit again.

The outdoor pool was a real treat on a hot weekend, big enough for a little swim and lovely to sit beside and sunbathe. We stayed at Cedar house over two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Chris and Maggie were fantastic hosts, and the staff were kind and thoughtful. We loved pavilion room no 5, with its lovely decor and large en-suite bathroom. It filled with sunshine in the evening. The B&B is close to gorgeous beaches and the local area. We’d definitely like to return. I can’t understand the unkind reviews.
