1823 Spinning Block

The views around the hotel were beautiful, and the town was right on the doorstep with plenty to do. We stayed for two nights for a family wedding and would love to return and explore more. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and generous. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The receptionist was lovely, very friendly, and knew a lot about the area. She was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We’re sorry we didn’t catch her name, but she had beautiful flaming red hair. Thanks for a fabulous couple of days.

We’d definitely stay again. The room was a bit noisy because it was above a function room, but it didn’t affect us too much. The beds were comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were lovely. After Booking.com cancelled our room a few days beforehand without telling us, the hotel was fully booked when we called. Fortunately, a room became available because someone in our party was ill. The staff were fabulous. They knew how stressful the morning had been, especially with two children, and had the room ready early so we could check in straight away. Suzanne was really helpful with parking and local information.

I was walking my dog very early while visiting family in Clitheroe when I came across a confused lady who was clearly lost. I took her to the hotel reception, where Ali, the night porter, was incredibly helpful. When Suzanne came on duty at 7 am, the two of them made us all feel welcome while we waited for someone to take the lady home. That’s what community is about. Thank you both for all your help and for making us feel so welcome.

The breakfast was very good quality, and I really enjoyed my stay. Great service and excellent rooms too. I’d love to come back one day.
