We'd go back in a heartbeat. The hosts even took the trouble to send us a charger we'd left behind, which says a lot about how lovely they are. The lodges are thoughtfully equipped, and the peaceful setting and scenery were just perfect.

The walks start right nearby, and we also enjoyed the views from the deck. Our room at maple lodge was cozy, the bed comfortable, and everything was very clean. The hosts were so friendly, and the dogs and cats were part of the welcome too. We had a great four-night stay. For Sunday roast, Saracens Inn is about a seven-minute drive and well worth considering. Richard and Hani look forward to coming back.

We cycled for miles from this spot, with the Forest's trails right next door. The cottage was spacious and modern, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We found the maps and leaflets handy, as well as the useful extras like dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and cloths. There are some great pubs nearby, and the River Wye is stunning, with stand-up paddleboards and canoes available to hire. Our hosts were welcoming and full of local knowledge. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Across the road, woodland paths lead down to the Wye Valley, and the views stretch towards the Malvern Hills. Maple Lodge was light and spacious thanks to its big windows, and it was clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and bathroom. We spent a relaxing three nights there. Sally and her family were friendly and welcoming, dogs included, and communication before the visit was great. A wonderful place to stay, and one we'd recommend.

Sally, Anthony, and Beth made us feel right at home, and their dogs and cat even came over for cuddles. My husband and I spent four nights at Maple Lodge, which had everything we needed. The views across the Wye Valley were the best I've ever seen. I'd highly recommend it for a visit to the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.
