We had a lovely overnight visit with friends. The Red Lion is in a picturesque spot in the heart of the village, and the pub had a welcoming feel as soon as we arrived. Staff gave us a warm welcome and were attentive throughout. The accommodation was excellent, the food superb, and there was a good selection of wines and beers. It’s clearly very well run. We’ll definitely come again. Thank you, Derek and Mary.

The pub was a great place to have a few beers and some local food, and my room was cozy and comfortable. I stayed for a few nights on a business trip and found it a great choice. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, so it’s well worth a visit.

The gluten-free choices were fabulous, and the cheesecake was light and fluffy with a perfect base. We had a delicious meal and quick service in this welcoming pub. I’d highly recommend it. We didn’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t rate them, though from what I could see, they looked nicely appointed and clean.

I’m at The Red Lion in Hellidon every week and wouldn’t choose anywhere else around here. The staff are fantastic and always accommodating, remembering the little things I like each time. Special shout out to Jasmine and Roger. The upstairs rooms are spacious, with modern en suites and handy fridges in each. The menu is updated regularly, so the food stays fresh and interesting, and it’s absolutely top tier. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
