The evening meals turned out much better than I expected. On each night we had a drink and dessert, along with dishes including mixed grill, gammon dinner and traditional fish and chips, all cooked perfectly. Lyle and Susanne looked after us in the evenings and were cheerful, polite and so helpful. We booked three nights with the meal deal, which includes buffet breakfast and a two-course evening meal. We normally just have breakfast, but since it was New Year's Eve, we didn't want to go searching for somewhere to eat. We had booked early check-in and were seen straight away. We were also told to ask if we needed anything for the room during our stay. This is one of the best Premier Inns we visit. The staff, food and location are all great, and we'll definitely return.

For shopping, the location was really convenient, and the price was great value. We spent two nights here over NYE. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, and the male and female staff working the evenings were so helpful, happy to do whatever was needed. I'd book again.

We were there for two nights from Friday the 12th. Friday in the bar was fine, but Saturday's supposed happy hour became a mess. Carling wasn't included in the deal, and I was charged £9.80 for two pints. Then £16 was taken for two double vodkas and cokes. My phone showed the payment had gone through, but the barmaid said it hadn't appeared on the till, which she said was having problems, and asked me to pay again. I paid another £16. She said the first payment would be refunded, but it never came back. So I ended up paying nearly £42 for two Carling and two double vodkas, during happy hour. The staff were very unhelpful and had a terrible attitude. I was basically accused of having a problem. I won't return. I'd suggest paying cash to avoid any till "problems". I'm still furious that the staff just couldn't be bothered.

Staff were polite, and everything was very clean. Breakfast runs later than usual, so there's time for a lie-in. Just be aware there's no parking onsite, and you have to pay to use a local car park.
