We had four rooms for four tired, hungry blokes, and everyone was happy. The lawns is close to town, with honest, down-to-earth food that was very well priced and generous. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, with a big modern bathroom, and the nights were quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was good too. We chose it over the pricey city centre hotels that charge extra for everything, parking included. No complaints or drama, and I’ll consider staying here next time I’m back in Derby.

The staff were lovely and the service was great. The bed felt a bit too hard, and the pillows were made of some plasticky material. The shower guard is fixed in place, so you have to reach around it to get to the taps.

I slept for hours without being disturbed on my first night, the bed was almost too comfortable! It’s a lovely place, and the staff were brilliant too. I’ll definitely book again.

Really relaxed setting and lovely service. Breakfast was freshly cooked, there was loads for the money, and they kept topping up the coffee.
