The bed was really comfortable, and the room gave us a great night's sleep. We also loved unwinding in the cosy lounge and library. The staff were lovely, and all the thoughtful little details made the place feel special. Best food we've ever eaten, too. This has to be the nicest place we've stayed. We'd definitely recommend it and will be back.

Everything was easy to reach on foot, with the beach, golf course and town centre all nearby. The hotel is a historic building kept in remarkably good condition, and we had a great stay. Dinner was incredible, and breakfast service was especially good. We'll definitely return.

The food was the highlight of our trip, possibly one of the top five dinners we've ever had together. We tried the beef, potatoes and ceasar, then apple cranachan for dessert, and every dish was 10/10: simple, elevated and delicious. Mara is beautiful, and the service was fantastic. We booked it for our last night in Dornoch, and if we'd been staying longer, I'd have booked again.

We came just for the food, and the tasting menu was brilliant. Theo came out to explain the dishes with real enthusiasm and care, and he and his team did a fantastic job. Mia and her team kept our drinks topped up and suggested good pairings for the meal. I let Archie choose what to make for a mocktail after telling him what I like, and it was one of the best I've had. Thanks again!

Our first stop in the Highlands was a beautiful stay at Links House Hotel. The team, service and food were outstanding, and both the house and our room were immaculate and beautiful. It was one of my favourite stays in the UK. If you're taking the C500, I highly recommend it as a perfect start to the trip.
