Station Hotel

I stayed here earlier this year and felt really comfortable. A few staff members were helpful and told me about the Hauntings and events that took place in the station hotel back in the day. It was absolutely awesome, and I'd definitely stay again if I got the chance.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and there was a lovely bar with a nice seating area. The hotel was handy for the Black country museum and lots of other things to see and do, so it made an ideal base. The room was fine, and the little kitchen had all the amenities needed if you wanted to cook your own food. There was no air con, but opening the window did the job. The road outside was noisy, though after getting used to it, I had no trouble sleeping.

The kids loved being able to see the animals from the window, and the rooms were big and really clean. We're a big family and didn't want to be split up, so the hotel arranged interconnecting rooms. Jack at reception was lovely, chatting with us straight away and making us feel welcome. He helped with things like the cot and never made anything feel like a problem. The staff and other guests at the bar were lovely too. You'll see us again very soon.

The room is a little basic, but there's decent space, a fair-sized bathroom and a kitchen for simple meals. The TV is a bit small, though you're not likely to spend long in the room. The woman who checked us in was friendly. The hotel must have been grand in its old days.
