Such a peaceful place to stay. It’s a quaint hotel that’s run well, with really helpful staff, lovely Asian food and a good wine selection. The rooms are comfortable, though a bit tired.

The lunch and panto afternoon was such a great event. Lovely food, a welcoming host and a brilliant show. I couldn’t fault it.

Such a fun family night out at the Christmas panto. The portions were enormous, the food was incredible and the entertainment was fantastic! 🤩

We stayed for two nights in April as a stop on our way further north. The quiet setting and lovely big lawn with benches were the first things we liked. The room was a good-sized double and very clean, with tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was clean too, though the shower took a while to get hot and kept switching between hot and warm. Both meals we had were lovely. The fish was beautiful, and the chicken curry was just right for my taste. The owner was very hands-on, and all the staff were nice. We did find the entrance a little confusing. The door we eventually realised was the way in didn’t feel very inviting, and could have used a welcome or entrance sign. The reception desk is also in the bar and dining area, so people were checking in and out while others were eating. With rooms on either side, the layout could be planned a bit differently.
