We slept really well without any disturbance, and the staff were lovely, handling all our requests with a smile. We booked for our annual Panto trip to Dunfermline. The place was easy to find, tucked into a quiet corner with no noise or biz, just what suited us. There were plenty of local spots to eat and drink, and the town centre was only a short drive, about 5-10mins. We'd definitely recommend it and stay again.

The staff were all helpful, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you can sleep through a lot. Our ground floor room got motorway noise late into the night, and the door banging every time someone passed through was worse. There are lots of white van men staying here, some heading out around 6-ish, which is when you're likely to wake up. On top of that, a low pulsing noise from electrical equipment in a store room was barely noticeable during the day but awful later. I wound up burying myself in pillows to block it out. I love Scotland, but sadly not Travelodge. I saw reviews calling the location quiet, though the M90 is within 100m, and those doors bang loudly too. Makes me wonder if some reviewers actually stay here.

After several flights, arriving at 11pm and being unable to get inside was the last thing I wanted. I rang the buzzer, but it still didn't work, so I had to call someone. He eventually came down, half asleep, and asked for my name and booking number. I didn't have the number, so I showed him my passport to confirm who I was, but he wouldn't accept it. In the end I had to call the person who'd booked the room for a reference before I could get in. He was arrogant and a proper jobs worth. I wouldn't use this place again.

We chose this place for its position, which worked well for our early morning drive to Edinburgh Airport. The staff were helpful, especially with information about local restaurants.

Reception was very friendly, the room was clean, and I had no complaints.
