I hardly ever leave reviews, but this place was that good. We felt they really cared about making our stay a great one. Fiona and James were attentive to our specific food requests, and breakfast was outstanding both mornings. The rooms had everything we needed and were peaceful and quiet. One of the best guest houses we’ve stayed in.

After a long-distance walk, we had enough room to relax, and the bedroom was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was small but did the job, with a good-pressure shower and hot water. James and Fiona gave us a really warm welcome to their bright, clean B&B, cheerfully decorated and right on the seafront. Breakfast was fresh, well cooked, and made with high-quality ingredients, with plenty to choose from. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Eastbourne.

We'd been looking for a guest house for a while and were so pleased to find this one. Fiona and James took great care of everything, and we were impressed by their hospitality. We’d forgotten to bring the right adapter, but they found one for us within minutes of asking. Their tips about places nearby also helped make our trip more enjoyable. Breakfast was exceptional, and our four-year-old loved it.

The room setup meant our daughter could sleep safely in an interconnected room, and they were able to cater for my gluten-free diet. Free parking was a welcome extra. My fiancée, our five-year-old and I spent one night at Bay Lodge Guest House during a mini-break in Eastbourne, and it was just what we needed. The rooms were beautiful and clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was cooked superbly. Fiona and James were so kind to our daughter and made a real fuss of her, which meant a lot to her while away from home. From the warm welcome onward, the whole stay made our time in Eastbourne so enjoyable. We love Eastbourne and Bay Lodge, and hope to return soon.

We needed a healing break after a death in the family, and this guest house gave us just that. Eastbourne is a fantastic place to visit, and staying here added to the feeling of goodwill. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and Sharon gave us a lovely, genuine welcome. Sharon and Neil were exemplary hosts, and they seemed happy to help with any reasonable request. This is probably the best guest house we’ve stayed at. We’ll DEFINITELY be back. Thank you, Sharon ❤️
