Gyves House

The beach and prom are right nearby, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hosts were attentive and so lovely, and made me feel at home. My room had loads of character and was beautifully decorated. They even left homemade brownies, shortbread and tea, such a personal little touch. Really good value, and I'd absolutely stay again.

The location is perfect, just two seconds from the beach. We had a great breakfast, and I loved finding out they churn their own butter, bake their own bread and make their preserves. Our room was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and a personal feel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. What a gem, no wonder this guesthouse was voted one of Eastbourne’s ten best hotels.

There was homemade shortbread with the tea and coffee in the room, and chocolate mints on the bed. They even had all sorts of phone chargers available. I had a spacious, comfortable room with an excellent bed and a large bathroom, and a great cooked breakfast in the morning. The hosts gave me a lovely warm welcome and were happy for me to lock my bike in their back garden, with guard dogs provided. Delightful!

The breakfast was marvelous, with options for vegans and vegetarians. Our beds were really comfortable, and the small room was cozy for two. The hosts were incredibly kind, even carrying our bags upstairs. They provided water, tea and coffee, and biscuits too. The seafront location was lovely. It was just perfect and made our stay.
