Courtyard Edinburgh

The staff and service were very good, and the room was comfortable and clean. We could walk to everything in the city centre. Breakfast was very basic, with not much choice. We were upgraded to a bigger room with a walk-in shower. It was a wheelchair room, which was no problem for us, but it would be better to tell guests clearly next time. The ventilation outlet also needs a proper clean, as it was full of dust.

Our colleagues' rooms weren't ready either, and there was little guidance when we were given the room number and keys. Breakfast was included, but nobody mentioned the breakfast hours. There's no parking, and the information about the supposed 40% car park discount came too late to use it. Apparently they provide a discount code, which wasn't sent in advance, and you have to request the discount while reserving a space on the shopping centre parking site. For the price, we expected much better. There's plenty of room for improvement.

Yura at the front desk made our stay especially easy and memorable. Attentive, professional, and warm, Yura went above and beyond. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We could relax and eat right at the Courtyard by Marriott. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely stay here again when we return.

The staff were extremely helpful, and the hotel was good value for a four-star stay. We spent two nights here for a weekend break. The room was clean and modern, with the usual great beds and tea and coffee even on the basic rate. Breakfast met the usual Marriott standard. The lunch menu felt pricey for a sandwich, but there are plenty of other places to eat nearby. The location is handy, about a 10-minute walk from the train station and close to The Playhouse. It wasn't too busy or noisy.
