Ocean Serviced Apartments

I’d have preferred to stay in the city centre, but the flat itself was convenient and had great space and facilities. The number 11 bus comes roughly every 10 minutes, and several other buses stop quite near, so being a little farther out wasn’t a problem. What really earned the five stars was the staff. We stayed for a month, and every request was handled right away. When the washing machine showed an error five minutes before the office closed on a Saturday, I figured we’d be without laundry for the weekend. Instead, someone came to fix it in about 10 minutes. The weekly housekeeping day clashed with an all-day call I needed to take from the apartment, so they rescheduled it without any fuss. I don’t often write reviews, but I wanted to recommend Ocean Apartments.

I wasn’t sure about choosing the apartment at first, but I’m glad I booked it for our vacation. The team gave us a warm welcome, made check-in easy, suggested things to do in Edinburgh, and quickly helped with an extra request. The rooms are large and ideal for a good getaway.

The views from our upgraded executive suite on the 7th floor were amazing, and the apartment felt luxurious. We’d cancelled our hotel booking to stay at the Ocean Serviced Apartments, and it was absolutely the right call. We first booked six nights, then easily added one more a few days before check-in. All the staff were professional, efficient, and friendly, and the email instructions explained everything clearly, so we never had to ask questions. C25 had two bedrooms set up with two double beds and ensuite bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath and overhead shower. There was also a separate room with a toilet and wash basin, plus one closet for the washing room and another for the boiler. The living room was spacious, with the kitchen at the back, the dining area at the front right, and a balcony with a table and chairs. The bed linen and towels were fresh and clean, and everything was just right. We couldn’t have asked for more. From the apartment we could see Edinburgh castle, Arthurs seat and the Royal Yacht Britannia. You can hear the lift, and the floorboards creak a bit, but neither bothered us. There’s a cafe and bus stop across the road, an Asda around the corner, and the harbour is about five minutes away for a lovely walk. The secure car park had plenty of spaces, including disabled spaces. If we return to Edinburgh, we’d definitely stay here again.

The view from our apartment was lovely, and communication with the host was brilliant all the way through. Having a secure car park was a real bonus. The apartment could use a little TLC in places, though there was nothing major to complain about. It was clean, tidy, and easy from start to finish. We had a pleasant stay overall. We booked through Booking.com, so the two nights came out a bit pricey, but otherwise we really enjoyed it.
