I’m a solo traveller, and I’ve been here before. The rooms are very clean and welcoming, and everything went smoothly after I got checked in. I’d come back again. There was even a view of airplanes taking off right outside the front of the hotel. Room 29, where I was originally staying, had a stiff shower and bath control. I had to force it to turn off. My QR code check-in failed too, so I had to speak to management. Those were the things that brought down my rating. As a solo guest, I found it good, but I haven’t seen much child entertainment, so I wouldn’t recommend it for families. Families should check online to see if anything for children is running nearby. If you’re coming for a weekend or a week, it’s a nice place to stay. If you have a driving licence, I’d suggest booking a taxi or hiring a car. Walking took me an hour, though I’m used to that.

We enjoyed our stay just before Christmas. The room was quiet, the bedding comfortable, and the shower pressure was okay. We booked through Booking.com and asked for the closest destination to the airport, which is why this Premier Inn came up. It was near the airport, but getting there on foot with heavy bags wasn’t easy, despite what we’d understood. Still, we had a good stay.

The beds are fantastic, so I’d definitely stay here again. Our room was perfect, with a spotless bathroom, and the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very, very good. The evening menu is okay if you like American-style food, brioche buns, sickly barbecue sauces and frozen vegetables. The fish and chips were very nice, and the pizza was the best value. Skip the warmed-up desserts: they’re blasted in the microwave and come out rock hard or with burnt chocolate.

A run-of-the-mill Premier Inn, with no major complaints. The room was clean and the bed decent, and it was quiet despite being near the airport, so I assume the rooms are sound insulated. Self check-in and check-out were easy. There was one concierge, so you may have to queue, but they lent me an iron and were nice when I spoke to them. It’s fairly close to the airport by car and easy to find on Google Maps. I assume there’s an airport shuttle, but we were in the area for a wedding. There’s an attached bar and restaurant with pretty fair prices in this economy. Parking at £7 a night is steep. I probably won’t have a reason to return.

There’s plenty of parking, at £7 a night, and the hotel is about ten miles from Edinburgh centre, roughly a 25-30 minute drive. Being a little outside the city means it’s cheaper than other options, which makes it a good deal for me. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the family room was small compared with other Premier Inns I’ve visited, and its TV was tiny, about monitor-sized. Breakfast is the usual English style, with limited hot vegetarian options, as usual. The staff were helpful.
