Staycity Aparthotels Edinburgh West End

The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped, and the location was close to the city centre. I booked one room for three people, but at check-in the staff kindly upgraded us to a two-room apartment, which gave us much more space and made the stay comfortable. Everyone was warm and helpful. They also extended checkout from 11:00 to 13:00 when I asked, so we could leave without rushing. Manager Leanne handled everything efficiently and professionally, and her attitude and support stood out. Staycity Apartments in Edinburgh was a genuinely welcoming, flexible place to stay. I'd recommend it.

The apartment was lovely and had what I needed. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the living area was bright and spacious. I especially appreciated the small capsule coffee machine in the kitchen. I arrived early after a work Christmas lunch. I couldn't check in yet, but I could leave my car in the underground carpark and was shown lockers for my bag, which cost £5. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I came back to check in around 10pm, it was quick and easy. Georgina checked me in, then helped again when I returned 20 minutes later looking for snacks. For me, it's a little farther from the centre than I'd prefer, though there are plenty of cafes and shops nearby and good bus connections. I took an Uber back from the far end of George street for £10. For a longer stay in Edinburgh, I think this place would tick all the boxes.

The main drawback was the bathroom. The bathtub was a bit dirty, which was disappointing since the rest of the apartment was fine. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant two-night stay at Staycity Edinburgh West End with three people. The apartment was spacious and well heated, which we appreciated at this time of year. The sofa bed was fine for us, and check-in was smooth and friendly. Having reception open 24/7 was handy. The location was great for walking to the city centre, and there was a supermarket just around the corner. After checkout, we used the luggage lockers. The process was easy, and for £5 a day one locker held all four of our hand luggage bags comfortably.

We'd been to StayCity Birmingham and London, and Edinburgh was easily the best. We had a really good trip through the UK. We booked a room while driving there and checked in on arrival. Since there were three of us, the lady at the desk upgraded us to a bigger room and added an extra bed so we could sleep more comfortably. Checkout was very quick. Thank you very much.
