The room was lovely and had loads of space, though the bathroom was a little small. That wasn't a big problem for me. I really liked staying here, the food was good, breakfast had a great choice, and the staff were friendly. Thanks for having us ❤

We didn't stay overnight, just stopped in to collect our takeaway fish and chips. Ended up having a pint as well. The staff were welcoming, the beer was good and the fish and chips were really tasty. We ate outside in the lovely weather. Couldn't ask for better, definitely worth a visit.

The owner and locals were friendly, and dogs are welcome. I had the steak pie, which was tasty, came in a good portion and was great value. My mash was delicious, and my husband's chips were too. We'd definitely come back 😁

I was there for a work Christmas do, and the opening hours are limited, so check them before you go. It's a pleasant, tucked-away restaurant in the small fishing town of Burghead. The bar has a typical local feel, the staff and people were very pleasant, and although the interior wasn't inspiring, it was decent and retained many Victorian features that made it interesting. As a vegetarian, I found the choices very limited, just cheese or egg mayo sandwiches, so I couldn't really judge how well the food was cooked. If you eat meat, it could be a nice place for a meal.

It's a really friendly place to stay, and the breakfast was lovely. The evening menu has a good selection at sensible prices, and they're very welcoming to dogs. The one downside is there's no lift. On the plus side, you'll leave fitter.
