We couldn't watch TV because there was no signal, and retuning it only left us with very poor reception. The shower pressure was very low unless we set it to the coldest temperature. There was a wardrobe but no hangers, so it was useless. Getting into the room was a mess. No staff were there when we arrived, despite giving an estimated arrival time. I called the number at reception and was told our room number and door code. The code didn't work. The woman insisted it was correct and said someone would come down. We waited 20 minutes before someone arrived and it turned out she'd given us the wrong code. There were several cleanliness problems: a dead fly in the bathroom sink, loads of dust under the beds, a filthy lampshade and a stained double duvet cover. When I called about it, staff were reluctant to help. She said the sheets were clean and didn't want to return that night to change them, but could do it the next day. I said I didn't want to sleep on stained sheets. She said she'd call the manager and get back to me, but after 20 minutes with no reply, I texted for an update. Nothing. An hour later, still nothing, so I had to sleep in the stained bedding. The sheets were changed while we were out the next day, but I still spent one night in dirty sheets. At checkout, I called again because I wanted to speak with a manager about the stay, and they hung up on me. When I spoke to the manager in person, he was rude too.

It was nice and quiet, which I liked, and the host was pleasant and always ready to help. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it. 10/10 for me!

My step-dad stayed here for work and had no sleep, with noise from other rooms going on all night. He also said they tried to charge his friend again even though it had already been paid. There were stained sheets, a disgusting shower, thin walls that let you hear everything, rude staff and a very scary atmosphere. The photos of how dirty it is are shocking. I don't know how this is even allowed. Please, please avoid at all costs.

I needed somewhere quiet for personal reasons, and this suited me perfectly. The room felt warm and welcoming, with tea and coffee provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's within walking distance of plenty of shops and close enough for my work commute. I'd come back if I needed to.
