Orchard Hotel

The team were welcoming and accommodating, and the service was just wonderful. A gentleman even carried our bags all the way to the room. Make time for a drink or try the excellent food. I'd say the staff are the best in all of Scotland. Highly recommend!

My daughter and her partner booked a room, but were put across the street in a dirty, unsafe place. As two young women on their own, they called home because they didn't want to stay. Your bot assured me they'd be moved into the main hotel, so they packed everything and went over, only to be told there were no rooms and they couldn't move. The booking never mentioned a room across the road with a shared bathroom. They wouldn't have booked, or would have specified the main hotel, if they'd known. The room had dirty sheets, black marks all over the filthy carpet, and stained walls. More than anything, they felt unsafe. It's a room in a shared house, and nobody helped them at all. At midnight, the two 18-year-olds left and made their way home. I emailed right away on Friday night, and by Monday night still had no response. I didn't want to post publicly, but was left with no other option. Please reply to my email and arrange a full refund. This is completely unacceptable!

Sunday afternoons at The Orchard have become a lovely routine for us. We play guitar at a long-running song club there and often buy lunch too. There's a good range of pub food, nicely served, and the staff are friendly. They greet us, help carry drinks, and point us to the cutlery. We see the same regulars each week, and some of us have also had Christmas meals there with colleagues. When a friend's chair broke and he fell off it today, the server was concerned and handled it decently, which we really appreciated. It's a warm, relaxed place to eat chicken tenders, in a lovely building. Well done to the staff.

As always, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was really friendly. Another lovely meal and evening, with great food and service. We can't wait to return and would strongly recommend the restaurant.
