Brandshatch Place

The staff were truly wonderful, but they seemed to be battling against the odds. Our room had several snags we reported, including a wardrobe light that stayed on and a broken safe. It was noisy at night, with loud music coming from rooms on both nights, so it didn’t feel like a relaxing spa break. The pool was small, chilly, and crowded. On the second morning, breakfast was a limited menu printed on a sheet of paper, and basics like porridge weren’t available.

The spa is beautiful, the facilities are outstanding, and our day ended up being amazing and relaxing. We had a lovely lunch, with Joshua serving us so cheerfully and kindly, and the facial was excellent. I was nearly asleep by the end because I felt so relaxed. We’d originally booked a spa day at another hotel a mile away, but were so disgusted when we arrived that we left and called Brandshatch Place to ask if we could use their facilities. They welcomed us with open arms. The staff greeted us smiling and took great care of us. Hayley made sure we had everything we needed, and her customer care was awesome. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special and turn the day around. This place is a real gem, and we’ll definitely come back. Thank you all for such a great day.

We were working at Brands Hatch for the weekend and booked two nights at this wonderful hotel. The staff were amazing, and the bar food was lovely. Since we had to leave before breakfast officially started, they even put together a takeaway breakfast for us. It has plenty of character while still having everything you could need. As it turned out, our wonderful stay cost less than some of our colleagues paid to stay elsewhere.

We left the restaurant because of the poor service and the extremely rude way my pregnant wife was treated. It was easily the worst service I’ve had in the last three years. Something had clearly happened in the restaurant, and one staff member was being very rude to guests. Some of the other staff seemed intimidated and were avoiding the person causing the trouble. The rest of the hotel, spa, and staff were lovely, but that behaviour was unacceptable for a Valentine’s Day getaway. We won’t return.
