We made a last minute booking for two nights and arrived late in the evening. Brandi was so warm and welcoming, quick to respond and proactive about what we needed. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the shower was fine. There’s no food on site, but Brandi pointed out a few restaurants within walking distance. Cutlery is available in reception if you order delivery. Traffic noise from the nearby road was the only downside, though it wasn’t loud enough to bother us. Comfortable stay and great hospitality from the hosts, highly recommend.

The MacLean guest house was a great stay, with very clean rooms and friendly staff. Its location was ideal for getting into town, reaching the train, or heading to hiking spots. I’d recommend it to anyone travelling to Fort William.

It’s decent, but the worst bit is hearing every guest through the rooms. We had kids above us, and honestly, did I get any sleep?

A lovely lady showed us around when we arrived. We were on the top floor in a spacious family room, spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom, with lovely views of Fort William. There were plenty of sockets, a TV and a fridge in the wardrobe, plus lots of towels and posh tea and coffee. The memory foam beds were super comfortable. It was very hot in the room, but they’d provided a fan. Traffic noise was constant, along with some noise from other guests downstairs, though that wasn’t anything to do with the owners. We’d definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back soon. Thank you!

After our West Highland Way walk, this was a wonderful place to rest. The house is an easy stroll from downtown and very close to the train station. Brandy went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Our bed was large, with crisp, spotless sheets, and comfortable too. The shower was immaculate and had plenty of hot water. Clean, comfortable and inviting.
