The main issue for me was how cold the room got at night and in the morning. The small electric fire barely gave off heat, and I ended up wearing bed socks and my dressing gown to bed. After a previous stay at another Premier Inn in South Wales, where there was no central heating and just one little electric fire, I’d considered bringing a halogen heater to Frome. I wish I had. For rooms close to £100 a night for a double, I think there should be another source of heating so guests can stay warm. Otherwise, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, though the small window made it rather dark. The ensuite was a good size and clean, but the shower pressure and temperature kept varying. This was my first stay at this hotel, beside a Beefeater restaurant.

Lovely holiday at the premiere inn. The beds were super comfy, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the shower hot. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were unlimited, and the TV worked. The restaurant did a lovely breakfast too. And to the woman complaining at the hot water urn about the whole hotel because she didn’t realise you had to keep your finger on the button, which it actually says to do: please read this and be grateful. Shut up!

We used this as our base for the Bath area, having breakfast most days and dinner twice. The restaurant was absolutely packed on Saturday night, so we weren’t expecting much, but the service was spot on and the food beautifully cooked. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m in the area. It was a shame to leave.

The bed was comfortable, there were loads of pillows, and the shower was nice, all the usual good PI standards. My gripe is the PG Tips: even using two bags, it tasted like dishwasher water. Come on, PI, give us a proper brew. Frome town was too far away for us, so we had to drive or get a taxi to visit the Cheese and Grain.

Cara really stood out for the care and attention she gave us, going above and beyond to make sure everything was right. We were very happy with the service at Frome Premier Inn and would gladly stay again.
