The twin room, Dumgoyne, was lovely, and we really enjoyed the breakfast, atmosphere and service. Stewart was great company and did his best to find us an Islay whisky. We ended up with a Bunnahabain 12yrs, which I liked a lot. Thanks for looking after us so well on our first visit last week. We’ll definitely be back. Keep it up, and see you soon, Andy.

The staff were really friendly, and all four of us enjoyed our meals. I had the spicy chicken enchiladas, which were fab and packed with chicken. The portions were so huge I couldn’t finish mine. The others had venison lasagnes and a burger, and they were very happy with those too. I meant to take photos but forgot. I’d definitely recommend eating here.

Top notch service both days, and the food was incredibly good with huge portions. Those chips were just to die for 🤩

The staff were lovely and the drinks were good. I only gave four stars at first because we hadn’t eaten, though the menu and the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked promising. We said we’d come back, and we did. The food was lovely. Forgot to get a photo before we started eating.

We found this little place after visiting nearby Buchanan Castle. The food was top notch and, though it was quite pricey, worth it. It did take a while for our order to arrive. Just as we were finishing our mains and thinking about dessert, three idiots started playing darts right beside our table, and I mean right beside it. They swore and used bigoted language with their fat backsides in our faces, all in front of my 8 and 10 y/o. My partner had heard enough, so we left before anyone said something that could cause trouble. As we were going, the waiting staff asked if everything was okay. We explained what had happened, and I believe they told the man in charge with the kilt. Both were very nice and said they’d speak to the group, but the damage was done and what would have been a definite 5/5 was spoiled. I don’t know what possessed them to play darts beside a family having a meal, let alone talk that way in front of children. I hope the staff properly shamed them, but after we went to the spar across the road to get dessert for the kids, we walked back past on the way to the car and those people were still playing darts. Food great, clientele disgusting.
