The Torrance Hotel

Amy deserves a special mention. She’s very nice, helpful and always on the go, a real credit to the hotel chain. All the staff were lovely, the room was lovely, and the food was excellent. A very high quality hotel overall. We’ll definitely be back.

There’s plenty of parking and it’s in a convenient location. The staff are very good at functions, as they generally are. But it’s very loud, with tables close together, so don’t go there if you want to talk about anything private. The food was a bit bland and disappointing. I might use it for a function.

It was quiet near the main road and shops, and I wasn’t disturbed during my one night there last week. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a decent sized carpark and it was free. My room was a little dark, and the tea and coffee tray wasn’t fully stocked. The bed was fine and the shower was hot and fairly powerful. I’d stay again.

We held my father’s funeral tea here this morning, and family had travelled from near and far to be there. We were offered a drink on arrival, but I really needed a cup of tea and it didn’t come until ten minutes after the sandwiches and sausage rolls arrived. The second pot of tea was awful, like hot water and milk. The scones came without butter or jam. Disappointed.
