The staff handled a hectic breakfast really well, staying cheerful and smiling even under pressure. Plates, cutlery, beans, milk, muffins and croissants kept running out, and the kitchen seemed quite small for the team and got very busy. A queue barrier in the dining area might help: people were dashing over whenever food came out, leaving others waiting. I had a very enjoyable three-night stay at this Holiday Inn. The location was great, and the clean surroundings made it a good place to get my running miles in. Good place to stay, and I'd recommend it.

Holiday Inn Express is usually our choice for work trips or short stays, and Glenrothes lived up to that. The receptionist gave us a genuinely friendly welcome, and we had a lovely, comfortable night's sleep. The room was dated, which is why I gave four stars rather than five, but it was clean and spacious, with a good hot shower and a huge comfortable bed. Breakfast had a nice range: hot food, porridge in plastic pots, cereals, fruit, bread, juices, tea and coffee. We'd stay again and recommend it if asked.

The staff were lovely, and apart from a couple of small things, the stay was perfect. The rooms are cute, though smaller than I expected, and there's nowhere much to put your luggage except on the floor. They didn't leave fresh towels or new coffee mugs one day. Fetty Kill Fox next door is a nice, rustic place too, worth checking out.

Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. For an Inn Express, the room was nice, though it didn't have a safe. The big desk and high chair worked well for my office work. Breakfast was the usual English style and could have had more flavour, but there were cereals, croissants, cakes, toast, sweet pastries and fruit as well. The front desk stood out for me: they were kind and supportive. The rest of the service was OK.

Our family would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Glenrothes again. The service and room were amazing, and the included breakfast buffet was great. Recommended!
