We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve booked to come back in April. The evening food was phenomenal, with brilliant portions, fantastic quality and a reasonable price, especially given both. I’d recommend booking a table in advance. The bar also had a good choice of ales, lager, wine and cocktails, at reasonable prices. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff member was a delight. We felt welcome from the start. After a brief introduction to the hotel, we went to our room, which was clean, nicely presented and had all the amenities we expected.

We ate here three times, and every meal was delicious. The team made check-in easy and kept checking that we were happy with our meals. They were exceptional throughout. Our room was spot on too, with a super comfy bed and everything spotless. I felt relaxed and really looked after during our three-night stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

Hugo, our black lab, got so much fuss that he felt like a celebrity by the end of the weekend. As dog parents, it meant a lot to find somewhere that truly welcomed dogs, not just allowed them. The friendly, helpful team gave us a warm welcome. We stayed two nights in a clean, tidy and really spacious dog-friendly Superior Room. The hearty evening food was tasty, and the full English breakfasts set us up for hiking. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the lovely village of Grasmere, and the hotel was an easy-to-reach base for exploring Grasmere and Loughrigg Fell. Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We’ll be back, and this experience has made us want to try more venues within the group.

The cocktail offer was well worth it, and breakfast was beautiful with plenty of choice. I’ve stayed at Inn Collection group hotels before, and this one was by far the best. We had a fantastic one-night break. Jack and Harry were especially helpful and friendly, and the service was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet, and the food was delicious.

There are lots of beautiful local walks, making this a perfect place to stop at the end of a long one. It’s a really characterful pub, with attentive, friendly staff and a good selection of local beers.
