The building is lovely, with interesting, slightly quirky architecture. Inside, the halls have comfortable chairs and sofas around tables, and there are plenty of nice spots to relax. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and enjoyed it. Parking was easy, with plenty of room in the hotel car park. The service was excellent, and staff were attentive and friendly. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

They gave us a great deal when we chose this hotel, and looked after us for our anniversary with a really lovely touch in the room. Jamie and Jackie were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

It was a quiet room, so we had a great night’s sleep, and the bed was really comfortable. The room was large, clean and had all the facilities we needed, including a large en suite bathroom. The building used to be a wealthy doctor’s home, and they’ve kept details like the stained-glass windows and solid wood staircase and railings. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was free parking. We paid a little more than we would at a Premier Inn, but the extra comfort was well worth it.

The staff were friendly and the hotel service was very good. Our room was clean and tidy, a good size for the price, and had a nice bathroom with a bathtub. The bed was comfortable, the bar and lounge area was pleasant, and the Wi-Fi worked well.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable, though a bit dated. The only issue was the TV: booking.com clearly advertised satellite TV in every room, but ours only had terrestrial channels.
