There’s food and a pub right in the hotel, and shops and a chippy are close by. A friendly place with a lovely room, and dogs are welcome. We’d definitely recommend it and come back x

It used to be a great pub years ago, but it’s sadly had little investment since. The decor feels dated now, and with the hotel up for sale, it may be the end of the line for the current owners. The food wasn’t anything special for the price, and service was just acceptable. The very young staff were polite, but seemed inexperienced and didn’t know much about the drinks menu.

We went for dinner, not an overnight stay. It was a busy Saturday night, so booking a table would be a good idea. We had our dog with us and sat outside without any problem. The staff were all friendly, and the food was excellent as usual, with something for everyone on the menu. Service was excellent too. Just remember this isn’t fast food, everything is cooked to order. Thanks, we’ll be back soon.

The restaurant meal was excellent, and the staff were helpful and friendly, especially at reception and among the waitresses. We stayed one night in a double room, which was clean and tidy and had a few toiletries plus tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lovely view and a nice location, with a large car park.

We had a relaxing afternoon in the bar, though the evening meal was only edible, not brilliant. Our room was the accessible one. There was dust on the grab rails, paint peeling from the radiator pipe, and black marks on the window frame right as you walked in. The bathroom blind needs replacing. Fix those things and it would be a much better room.
