Village Hotel Hull

The bar is good for watching sports, and there's a wide range of facilities to keep you busy, though I didn't use them. The breakfast staff were phenomenal, friendly and helpful. The room had what I needed, but there was a slight gap under the door that let corridor noise through, and the windows let in a lot of noise too.

The staff are a big part of why I keep enjoying my work stays here. Reception always makes me feel welcome and helps with whatever I need, from a toothbrush I've forgotten to borrowing a hole punch. Andy and the other bar staff are super friendly, and there's a good vibe in the bar with sports on and now digital dart boards too. Breakfast is always great. Lindsay and Jo do a brilliant job, and Lindsay even went out to her car to get me de-icer this week. All the servers are lovely and happy to sort out my oat milk, and the kitchen staff will cook lovely poached eggs when I ask. The gym team are great as well. The gym has recently been refurbished and doubled in size, and the pool, steam room and sauna are a brilliant bonus. It's the best hotel gym I've been to. I've been staying regularly for work over the past few months. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, and the TVs are big. They're cleaned and refreshed to a high standard when I hang out the “Freshen Up” sign. Thanks to all the staff for making The Village such a relaxing, welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

The lovely ladies at breakfast, Lindsay and Jo, were the highlight of my mornings. They were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure I had what I needed to start the day. Their professionalism and customer service are a real credit to the hotel. I enjoyed breakfast more than ever before. The hotel itself was good too, with nice, clean rooms that had everything I needed, plus a gym and swimming pool. It's in a good location. But Lindsay and Jo were the reason I kept coming back while working on a project in Hull, and why I gave the service five stars.

A couple of days before our stay, a lady called to check the booking details and ask if we were celebrating anything. I mentioned my daughter's birthday, and when we arrived there were balloons on the bed plus a free drinks and cake voucher. Such a lovely touch. The lady at breakfast was friendly and helpful too. Everywhere at Village Hotel Hull was clean and in good condition. I loved the bright colours and the little word quotes around the place. I'll definitely use Village Hotels again.
