The Premier Inn staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a reliable option in a handy spot for the A1 and A14. The rooms are a little tired, but clean and comfortable. The location itself feels like a truck stop, with rubbish around and huge potholes on the road in and out. There’s construction underway for more rooms, and the car park is always busy. The pub opposite is tired too, and its staff were the complete opposite of the hotel team. I felt ignored, then treated like an inconvenience once they noticed me. The staff at the nearby McDonalds were more focused on customers. I’d recommend the hotel if you know what to expect, but I’d avoid the pub.

After a long day working away, it meant a lot to come back to a smile and a quick chat, so I didn’t feel alone. I stayed here for over a month for work and can’t fault the place. Christopher and Bobbie were especially great, always greeting me when they saw me coming or going. Any problems were sorted straight away. Thank you!

This is our favourite Premier Inn for stopping halfway on the way to visit family. It’s always clean, with helpful staff, hot water, heating and a window that opens for fresh air. I email ahead because I’m a light sleeper, and they’ve never let me down. This evening Christopher was at reception to greet us. He was busy with other guests but stayed professional and friendly, then checked my requests and chatted with us when it was our turn. So kind and helpful, a real credit to the business. Thank you, Christopher. 😀

Christopher was amazing when a problem came up, sorting it quickly and without fuss. He was friendly, chatty and helpful, and made me feel like a regular. A real credit to Premier Inn, thank you, Christopher. I’m in the middle of a two-week business stay and have been very comfortable. The room is warm and spacious. I have to hold the tap in place to get hot water in the sink, but it’s no big deal. The radiator squeaked whenever it came on, so I switched it off at night. Reception staff are really friendly.

Christopher was so friendly and helpful at check-in. He even helped my wife wrap the last-minute present she’d bought for my mum, as we were staying for her birthday party. The hotel is a convenient stop at the A1/A14 junction, with large, clean rooms and the usual Premier Inn setup.
