Lucky 8 Hotel

It's been two weeks since my stay, and this is the third time I've called about getting my deposit back. Each time they say they'll release it now, but I'm still waiting. They also required a £100 deposit that wasn't mentioned on the website. The girl at the counter didn't know how to speak to guests, the room beds didn't match the Google pictures, there was no bedside lamp, and the lock didn't work properly. Ridiculous experience. I'd never suggest anyone stay here. I'd give it zero stars. This feels like a scam.

I was here for a work trip and would happily stay again. It's a short walk from the ilford station, and the room was clean and tidy. There was free Wi-Fi and parking, and the reception staff were friendly throughout. Highly recommended.

BED BUGS!!! On my first night I found two in the first room and took photos and a video before confronting the staff. It was pretty clear this wasn't their first bed bug complaint. They offered to move me, but the new room had the same problem. I'd been bitten on my back, with three red bumps and a rash around them. When I showed the staff, they asked if I'd washed my clothes or left them on the floor. They also said I'd get my £100 deposit back at checkout, but they tried to avoid giving me a refund at every turn.

There was barely any room to move, and I couldn't sleep. Someone else's hair was on the bed, and there were bed bugs all over the room. As soon as I got into bed, my body started itching badly. The shower head was yellow too. This really isn't a good hotel option.
