Travelodge Inverness Fairways

We got a family room for one night while travelling from skye towards Edinburgh, and for the price it was hard to fault. Friendly service, free parking, a cafe and shops nearby, and only about 10 minutes from the city. Best bargain of our four-week trip. Excellent value.

At £39.99, this was very good value. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and there’s a large Asda just a 5-10 minute walk away. My room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, so I had a pleasant stay.

Getting here from the A9 was easy, and there was plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the shower had great pressure. My only gripe was the scent of the toiletries provided by Travelodge(all Travelodge ), which I don’t like. They also left my hair harder to manage than usual.

The room was very small and awkward to use from my wheelchair. There was a double bed that wasn’t comfortable, plus a fold-up single, two chairs, and a console too high to use safely. I couldn’t get alongside the bed, so I had to crawl up from the foot of it. I also nearly broke two fingers trying to get through a door, with no staff around to help because the staff member was outside smoking. I’d travelled 120 miles from home for a hospital appointment the next morning. The person who checked me in was lovely and there were no problems then, but the staff member the following morning was rude and barely present. She spent most of the time outside the door smoking and on her phone. When I asked what made the rooms accessible, I was told there was an emergency cord in the bathroom.
