The staff were brilliant with the kids, and the bar felt warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the sea shanty singers on Thursday night. Our family suite was tucked into the converted attic, with a huge super king bed and two fold-out singles. The bathroom was enormous, with a roll-top bath looking out over the bay. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it. Such a relaxing stay, and we'd happily come back to Arran, maybe in summer.

We stayed in the Cottage, which was comfortable, clean and really nice. They'd even put up a Christmas tree and decorations, and left a lovely welcome pack. The views are beautiful, it's very dog friendly, and the staff were fantastic and friendly. Breakfast was included next door at the hotel, and the food was top notch. There was great evening entertainment too. I'd love to return and try one of the Bay Rooms in the hotel.

Dinner in the hotel bar was delicious, with plenty of great vegan choices. Breakfast was just as good, from the generous tea and coffee to the food and friendly service. The Bay Rooms are part of the Glendale Hotel, and the setting in Lamlash is beautiful, with lovely walks right nearby, a Co-op, overnight car charging and a very friendly neighbourhood. Our room was a good size, the bathroom was decent, and the kettle came in handy. The one drawback was how thin the walls between rooms were. Still, it was a welcoming place and well worth the money. I'd gladly stay again, and would like to try a room in the main hotel.

There's a well stocked CO-OP a short way down the road, and plenty of parking at the hotel, with a beautiful view of Holy island from the front. The staff were warm and welcoming, and happy to help with anything. Our room was clean, comfortable and good value. Restaurant food was good quality and more than enough, and the full Scottish breakfast was just right before a day of hiking. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was too. My friend and I had a wonderful stay, with a warm welcome and genuinely friendly, helpful staff throughout. The room was cosy and warm, with everything we needed, and very clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower was great. I highly recommend staying here.
