The Tower Arms Hotel

The lift wasn't working, and the rooms were very small with no wardrobe or drawers. I also couldn't close the bathroom door, the shower was too hot to get into, and the sink wouldn't unplug. The place was very clean, though, and breakfast was good, but served too early.

Sitting by the log fire made for a lovely evening. We pulled a few chairs over to sit in front of it, and they also have cheap accommodation for anyone who doesn't want to take a cab. They serve Rebeliion IPA, which is my favourite pint. Mine seemed dodgy, so I mentioned it at the bar. The staff were accommodating, and it worked out well. The tower arms has an old world look and a nice atmosphere. The bar staff are pleasant and the ales are good. The smoking area is comfortable and heated. It works for groups of any size, but it's also a nice place for a bit of romance.

The location is a bit out of the way, which suited me because I had a large van. I stayed one night for work in a chalet room outside the hotel. It needed a few small things sorting out, but it was manageable for one night and otherwise nice. Customer service was spot on. I went into the pub in the evening for a meal and a few drinks, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was really nice and cooked well. I'd definitely stay here again.
