The views from our room, bar, and restaurant were fantastic, and the location is ideal for walking and getting away from it all. Our stay this weekend was thoroughly lovely, with friendly, helpful staff, a super comfortable bed, and a really good breakfast. I can't comment on dinner because we ate elsewhere. The dogs were made very welcome, with their own bed and bowl in the room. There was excellent tea too, not just Yorkshire tea but decaf Yorkshire, which made my day. The bathroom in our room, 201, was small, though it didn't bother me. One small suggestion: the alcohol-free beer choice could be better. Heineken zero was the only one available, and while it seems popular in lots of places, there are better choices around now. Moretti and Estrella are excellent. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

The meals were very nice, though expensive, and the staff were professional and friendly. Our group had a fussy eater, and his father asked whether they could make beans on toast as a breakfast alternative. They wouldn't make an exception to their set routine, which felt petty since it seemed easy enough to provide. The hotel is quiet, with little going on in the evening, and the bar usually closes around 10pm. If you want nightlife, I'd suggest taking a taxi into Keswick. Parking is limited, so arrive early, although the hotel lets guests park on the grass during busy periods. My experience was positive overall, but personally I'd have preferred somewhere livelier.

The room was on the small side, and we could hear people chatting in the lounge below, but neither bothered us. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was lovely, and the bath towels were huge, soft, and fluffy. A hot chocolate in the room was a nice little treat. We had a fabulous stay and the evening meal was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly. There are lots of stairs and the room is tight, so I'd avoid bringing big suitcases.

It's a picturesque spot, and even sitting on the deck with a coffee is a pleasure. There are plenty of good peaks and walks a short stroll away. I found the food and service good, and the staff were good too. My room was a little small, but for the price I can't complain. The bathroom was modern and the water was hot.

The room was spacious and really comfortable, and we had a drink in the bar when we arrived. It made a great stop on our coast to coast walk. The evening menu was limited and there was only one sitting, which didn't suit us particularly well, though the restaurant was full, so it clearly worked for other people.
