The pub was great, with loads of drink choices, a big food menu and good gluten-free options. The inn and hotel were good overall, too. Our room was a little dated and could use some TLC, though that may just be personal taste. The bed was comfy and it had all the amenities we needed. We needed a dog-friendly place at the last minute, so felt lucky to find a room here. On-site parking was perfect for us, and the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful throughout. I'd definitely recommend it and would happily book again.

That roast was the best I've had in ages. I went for the turkey and my husband had lamb, and both were delicious. We’d only stopped at Twa Dog by chance after a long walk, but luckily there was a table. The staff were fantastic and really accommodating with our 5 and 7 year old. Shame we live so far away, but we’ll come back if we’re in the area again. Thank you! 10/10.

We went in for a Sunday meal after a walk and got seated easily, with the food arriving quickly. The portions were generous and tasty, though nothing especially memorable. It was still good for the price, which was lower than at most Lakeland pubs we’ve tried. It also had more of a local pub feel than the touristy places nearer the centre of Keswick.

The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to help, especially Joy. We had a lovely stay and would happily return. The room was basic, but there was nothing to fault, and the bed was really comfortable. It’s an easy walk to the town centre, the food was lovely, and parking was free.

The service made the visit for us. Joy, our bartender, was warm, engaging and brilliant at her job, and the rest of the team helped make us feel at home. The atmosphere was lovely too. We came for a Sunday roast at The Twa Dogs and had the lamb dinner. It was tender, full of flavour and cooked just right, one of the best meals we’ve had for the price. If you’re after a good value Sunday roast in Keswick, you should visit.
