It’s so quiet there, and the view is spectacular. The hosts are kind and really helpful, too. The place itself feels like a lovely, more comfortable version of home: roomy, cozy, modern, and carefully put together. There’s a kitchenette with everything you need. I’d definitely go back.

Breakfast was good, and we were glad she suggested booking at Glenelg inn restaurant. The room was clean, had a lovely view, and came with the toiletries we needed, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. A few things were awkward: there was no toilet roll holder, and we kept bumping into the round metal coffee table when reaching for the hanger. It also made a noticeable noise, and the TV was at an uncomfortable angle to watch. Still, it was a very good stay.
The view from the sliding patio doors was so lovely that the small TV hardly mattered. Beyond the little green space and gravel beach, you can see the water and the mountains of Skye. I got up for a 6:30 walk along the beach and found it calm, serene, and unspoilt. It’s an idyllic spot if you want peace and the surrounding nature. The chalet was finished to a very high standard, with a handy kitchen area, fridge, kettle, and coffee machine. The bed was large and very comfortable, with lovely bedding. The owners were a friendly, polite, and helpful couple. A couple of tips: book a stay, and call the friendly pub the day before if you want an evening meal, as it can get unexpectedly busy. I’m not sure where all the people came from in such a quiet area. Top drawer, amazing.
The views are simply stunning: wake up to the sea and the mountains of Skye. We had a lovely two-day stay at Kirkton Bay House, and the friendly hosts gave us a warm welcome. The rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped, including USB-A and USB-C charging sockets. We also really liked having continental breakfast in the room and the nice espresso machine.
We only got to enjoy this gorgeous B&B for one night, which was a shame. Iain and Rebecca are wonderful hosts, and the views of the Isle of Skye are fabulous. The luxury linen, comfy bed, lovely decor, and thoughtful touches made it feel special, from the fresh flowers to the well-stocked breakfast items, tea for every taste, and coffee machine. A must-do for the luxury alone. We highly recommend staying, you’ll be spoilt.
